I was studying but I give up!

Mike, did the freaky noise stop, the one you heard at 3 am before you realized that you were sick? Ok, I know too much already.

Giulio, it seems as though spring has also come to the Netherlands. You looked good pretending to play soccer, but we know different!!
Why is Vivian on TVbabes, what is TVbabes, and what are they saying about her???

This is only the beginning...

" The island of Pianosa lies in the Mediterranean Sea... It's very small and obviously could not accomodate all of the actions described. Like the setting of this novel, the characters, too, are fictitiuos... "

You have a point on the Apache story. Just yesterday we were discussing this stuff with some friends; it could easily be Saddam propaganda, in order to encourage people to fight, by showing that a farmer can shoot down an Apache. But in any case, you (Mike) are not the average American, who usually just watches CNN and reads The Herald.

Anyway, yesterday I met my old friend, Vivian!

You are a little late on this one G. The US papers and news don't show pictures of captured US soldiers until their families are notified. You don't want to be flicking through the channells and find out that your son is captured. Once the military notifies the family then the US shows the pictures on TV. All of the capstured soldiers have been shown by now on TV as their families have been notified.

There is also no way an A[pache can be shot down with a rifle, it was anti-aircraft fire.

And I read and watch BBC news, NYTimes, Drudgereport, pravda, The Times, and various other sources.

I can't believe it, now there is even the censorship on US television, that is, it's prohibited to show images of American soldiers prisoners!
Now USA is exactly like countries such as the good old Russia, China, Irak and Iran...

I don't know which war you are watching in US, but I have the feeling that it's quite different from the war we are watching on TV here in Europe. An interview with a toothless Iraqi farmer who shot down an Apache helicopter which is as expensive as a small hospital, with a rifle as old as me. Anyway...

I just feel bad for the poor soldiers (American and Iraqi) and civilians (only Iraqi) who are dying right now because of decisions taken by a couple of shitheads.

The picture of Kona in the snow is at my website.

You know, jadedturtle?

G is probably its only reader anyway.

Link to Pictures of Kona. Click Here.

It's hard to keep a straight head in America with the biased media.
What a bully Bush is. He's not fooling me with his "free Iraqi people" "campaign" is that what they call this?

Where's the picture of Kona in the snow?

More shitheads.

'War crimes will be prosecuted.'

Donald Rumsfeld at the Pentagon briefing. Thursday, March 20, 2003.

A bunch of shitheads.

'War crimes will be prosecuted, war criminals will be punished.'

George W. Bush's address to the nation. Monday, March 17, 2003.

I wish.

So... Saddam didn't comply with the UN resolution 1441.

And Bush says 'You know, if you don't comply with the UN resolution,
I'm not going to comply with it either, and I'll start a war.'

What shitheads.

It's a sad cheap world, with Saddam and Bush in it.

Inner Strength

If you can start the day without caffeine or pep pills,
If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
If you can eat the same food everyday and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when loved ones are too busy to give you time,
If you can overlook when people take things out on you when,
through no fault of yours, something goes wrong,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can face the world without lies and deceit,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without liquor,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
If you can do all these things,

Then you are probably the family dog.

Robert Graves

A Pinch of Salt

WHEN a dream is born in you
With a sudden clamorous pain,
When you know the dream is true
And lovely, with no flaw nor stain,
O then, be careful, or with sudden clutch
You’ll hurt the delicate thing you prize so much.

Dreams are like a bird that mocks,
Flirting the feathers of his tail.
When you seize at the salt-box
Over the hedge you’ll see him sail.
Old birds are neither caught with salt nor chaff:
They watch you from the apple bough and laugh.

Poet, never chase the dream.
Laugh yourself and turn away.
Mask your hunger, let it seem
Small matter if he come or stay;
But when he nestles in your hand at last,
Close up your fingers tight and hold him fast.

Hey Yoda!!!

Nice story! Is it true??
To bad you lost your legendary name to become an ordinary Callister

‘The effort to understand the universe is one of the very few things that lifts human life a little above the level of farce, and gives it some of the grace of tragedy.’

Steven Weinberg, from "The First Three Minutes".

So you guys are like.. related and stuff. That means you two could have been cousins-in-law.

Giulio, I'm not sure why you told us that story, but here is my story.

My family name comes from this one town in Japan near Mount Fuji. My father has talked with alot of Yoda's from around Japan, but their ancesters also seem to come from the same area.

And among the Yodas from this family is a Sony's director. During the making of Star Wars, Spilberg worked with George Lucas (I'm not sure which episodes, but I think the first couple) and had an opening for the name of the little green guy. Spilberg was speaking to Mr. Yoda (the Sony director) and asked if he could use his unusual name for an unusual character. That's how Yoda the Jedi Master was named.

So technically... to the Yoda green guy, related I am.

A Fiore From Hyde Park ???

That was my cousin !!!

Thursday, March 06, 2003

I had a girlfriend in college with the last name Fiore. She was from Hyde Park, MA.

... needless to say that there is only one person in the world with my name. In the US, there are only four Gambarota (I contacted a couple of them, they all came from the same village (~2000 people) in Italy where my father was born.

On the other hand, my mother last name, Fiore, is very common. Only in Massachusetts, there are more than one thousand people with this last name.

Why am I telling you guys this ????

How many brits are there with your name?

There are no brits with the name Michael Cutillo. I'm unique.
There are 32 brits with my last name. I am rarer than a wombats wing nut.
There are 669,377 brits with my first name. That is a lot of brits.

I had trouble singing in again, but I got in, I wanted to say... from a subject of two years ago... I was 40 % hipster. I think it's actually more like How un-hipster are you? I'm 40% un-hipster which means I am 60% hipster in the real world. Yeah, I'm cool!
